During the early Islamic period, Muslims conquered most of the known world. They defeated the Sassanids of Persia, the Byzantines, and the Greeks. They eventually took over the majority of Iraq, Syria, and Egypt. In the 19th century, the European colonial powers occupied most Muslim lands and undercut traditional Islamic systems of governance.

Islamic doctrine emphasizes oneness and transcendence of God. God is believed to be all-powerful and the creator of the universe. Muslims believe that the descent of Adam and Eve to earth was an honor bestowed by God. They also believe that God will punish people for wrongdoing. In addition to God’s justice, Muslims believe that God is all-merciful. They also believe that humans are created to worship God. Therefore, people are obliged to listen to teachings from prophets. Throughout Islamic history, prophets have been sent to the world to ensure that people worship God properly.

Muslims believe that Muhammad was the chosen messenger of God. They also believe that the Qur’an was revealed to Muhammad. The Qur’an is believed to be God’s perfect book. It contains 114 chapters, each of which is divided into verses. The book is a collection of major themes of life. The Qur’an is considered to be the holy book of Islam.

Muhammad was born around 570 A.D. He lived in a small mosque with his family. He married Khadija at the age of 25. He began to preach a new religion to his friends and family. He also preached to the general public. During his lifetime, Muhammad received additional revelations. The first of these was when an angel named Gabriel appeared to Muhammad while he was in a retreat outside Mecca. He told Muhammad that he was God’s chosen messenger. The angel told Muhammad that he would receive a series of additional revelations.

Muhammad eventually settled in Medina (or the city). Originally, Muslims referred to Medina as Yathrib (or the place of refuge). When the Islamic capital moved to Damascus in AD 662, the mosque’s remaining space was left open for Muslim prayer. Muhammad continued to preach until 632.

As Islam grew, Muslims conquered Egypt, Iraq, Syria, and the Sassanids of Persia. Muhammad attempted to expand north into the Byzantine capital of Constantinople. In 638, Umar, Muhammad’s brother-in-law, was named caliph. He ruled for six months, but was assassinated six months later. The following year, Uthman was named caliph.

Islam continued to spread and intellectuals flourished throughout the multi-cultural world of Islam. Many non-Arabs joined Islam and converted. There were also many Persians who converted to Islam. The Abbasid movement, which involved non-Arabs, demanded equality in Islam.

In addition to worshiping God, Muslims also believe in the afterlife and paradise. Most ordinary Muslims believe in angels, messengers, and the Day of Judgment. Most of the time, they also believe in heaven. However, they also believe in hell. Some Muslims believe that the Qur’an contains references to prostrating during prayer. Others believe that the Qur’an suggests that the son of Abraham is Ishmael.

As Calvin Coolidge once said, “No person was ever honored for what he received. He was honored for what he gave.” And the best thing about giving is that you can do it anytime and to anybody. So with this intention, a donation event was organized to uplift the underprivileged children of our society.

This Children’s Day, MindPlus decided to bring smiles to the faces of tiny- tots by organizing a drive where they collected shoes, clothes, toys, books, and food from the staff and caregivers of patients for the children in the outskirts of Doraha, Ludhiana.

Mind Plus Staff came forward and worked together to help these children to provide basic essentials for their better growth and development.

On November 14, 2022, a team from the hospital visited the Doraha slum neighborhoods with the donations that had been collected in a donation box that had been set up in the hospital.

The management officials urged people to come forward and contribute their bit to this social cause. We strongly feel that everyone should have access to basic necessities like clothing, food, shoes, and other necessities. So this event was organized with an aim of providing these basic survival kits to these unfortunate sections of society. We further hope that this drive encourages others to do similar activities to help underprivileged children.

Children from underprivileged backgrounds, including those in slums, urban poor families, and rural poor families, experience a variety of disadvantages, including poverty, malnutrition, access to quality healthcare, a lack of sanitary facilities, poor cleanliness, and inadequate access to clean water. This whole event was planned weeks ago by the hospital team and executed efficiently on Children ‘s Day when some of them visited nearby slum areas and interacted with the children. Our team also created awareness about mental well-being among the children where children were taught about basic breathing exercises and mindfulness for their mental well-being.

Cake cutting was done by the children. Our team members shared the feeling of satisfaction and contentment after distributing these donations to the children. They felt extremely overjoyed after seeing smiles on these kids’ faces.

On this Children’s Day, MindPlus humbly appeal to everyone to give back and help these beautiful children who can do so much better in their lives.

Delhi, Nov 13, 2022: Diabetes is one of the main non-communicable diseases in India and is a major public health challenge. Despite improvements in early detection and treatment, many of those with diabetes develop serious complications such as heart attack, stroke, amputation, blindness, and dialysis. By far the most common form of diabetes is type 2 diabetes, which mostly develops in late adulthood mainly due to physical inactivity, smoking and obesity. According to Global Healthcare Advisor Vijay Dhawangale, Diabetes historically was a disease of the affluent, but the recent epidemiological evidence indicates diabetes is now common among the urban India’s middle class and underprivileged sections of our society.

While addressing an online conference today on the eve of World Diabetes Day organised for its members by the healthcare and wellness committee of the global association for government service providers, Vijay recommended to focus on diet and exercise to try to control your blood sugar and prevent problems. If you do not control your blood sugar, you could develop eye problems, have problems with sores and infections in your feet, have high blood pressure and cholesterol problems, and have kidney, heart, and problems with other essential organs. People with any type of diabetes, who maintain good control over their blood sugar, cholesterol, and blood pressure can live a long and healthy life. Everyone with diabetes should receive proper education and support about the best ways to manage their diabetes added Vijay.

Vijay points that the metabolic disease known as diabetes has reached the proportions of a worldwide epidemic. It not only endangers human health, but also social structures and national economies. According to International Diabetes Federation estimates, around 415 million people had Diabetes in 2015 and this number is expected to rise to 642 million by 2040. The United Nations lists diabetes as the first non-infectious disease on the list of worldwide dangers to human health. The chronic disease no longer only affects first world countries; China and India have also published alarming figures. Estimates predict approximately 300 million diabetes cases worldwide by 2025.

India is deemed as the world’s capital of diabetes. The diabetic population in the country is close to hitting the alarming mark of 69.9 million by 2025 and 80 million by 2030. This denotes that the developing country is expected to witness an increase of 266%. The statistics recently accumulated showcase that culture of diabetes is more prevalent in the urban areas as 28% of the population living in cities are affected, whereas 5% of the rural population are positive with diabetes mellitus.

While the diabetes epidemic has become a concern for the public, there is also a strong perception that those in a position to bring about change are not taking the right steps to prevent this non-communicable disease from drastically effecting lives. According to Vijay Dhawangale, majority of cases of diabetes are preventable, there is a need to invest in education and prevention.

Who is Vijay Dhawangale

Vijay Dhawangale is a philanthropist, mentor, a successful entrepreneur, venture capitalist and global healthcare advisor. Passionate about giving back to his community and the world, he is active in many local and global organizations. His model of Preventive Diagnostics Programs around the world involves deeper strategies for local and state-level implementation. The initiative provides a package of essential diagnostic services free-of-cost across all public health facilities using innovative, low-cost technology. He is particularly vocal about access to quality healthcare to all.

Elections are a fundamental part of democratic governance. They help ensure the continuity of a democratic government and resolve succession problems. Moreover, competitive elections encourage political parties and candidates to make their records and intentions clear. Elections also facilitate public participation and political education and ensure that democratic governments are responsive to their people. In many cases, elections serve as a catalyst for social integration. However, not all elections are free and fair. In some countries, political parties and candidates can dominate a political arena, preventing citizens from selecting a candidate or party.

Elections occur regularly, usually every two years. These elections determine who represents your state in the House of Representatives. They also determine which political party will control Congress for the next two years. State and local elections can also take place at various times during the year. They may include elections for mayor, governor, and state legislature positions.

Elections have been a fundamental part of representative government in the United States since the early nineteenth century. Many countries in Asia and Africa have had competitive elections since decolonization, although authoritarianism was a prevalent political system during this time. In the 1970s, some countries returned to democratic forms of government, including the Philippines and South Korea. In the Middle East, however, elections are rare.

Elections are also used by authoritarian regimes as a way to gain legitimacy and popular support. Often, these regimes may choose to hold elections when there is no substantive opposition or when economic factors favor the regime. In addition, they may intimidate opposition parties to avoid mobilizing potential supporters. If they think that there is a high risk of losing, they may choose to postpone the elections.

Elections are also sometimes called referendums. In some places, referendums are conducted for a specific issue. In the United States, the government can vote on a constitutional amendment to enact certain laws. In Finland, a referendum is considered an election. In Finland, for example, the parliament elected J. K. Paasikivi as president in a recent election.

The Federal Election Commission publishes a Combined Federal/State Disclosure and Election Directory. This directory provides contact information for elections offices in the 50 states and the American Samoa. It also includes information about candidates on state ballots. This database also contains information on federal court cases. This is a useful resource for individuals and groups.

Elections are a crucial part of our government. In addition to electing the president, we elect our vice president and senators. Those elected to office are then chosen by the electors in each state. The Electoral College ensures that the voice of all states is equal. In the US, there are 538 electors. In order to win the presidency, a candidate must win a simple majority of the electors in each state.

Elections take place every four years. Each country has different schedules for presidential elections. For example, the president of Ireland is elected every seven years. In France, presidents are elected every five years.

When you have to describe Gayatri Mohanty to somebody, you find it difficult to find the right adjectives to do so. Gayatri grew up in a small town that was driven by patriarchal thoughts and approaches. Her father, however, always encouraged her to follow her dreams and supported her in every decision she took in her life. Armed with an MBA degree from a reputed management institute, Gayatri embarked upon a career as a banker.

After spending 12 years in the banking sector and rising through the ranks, Gayatri decided to take a break from her professional career to look after her family which included a little child to whom she was a mother. While she missed being a part of a professional setup, this phase helped her get clarity on what her true calling in life was. A visit to the mountaineering club in Bengaluru, where she is based, gave her a new perspective and gave birth to the mountaineer in her.

“I strongly believe that no dream is impossible to achieve if you are determined enough. I grew up in a society where most women were forbidden from dreaming and having certain aspirations in life. For most girls and women around me, even having a professional career was a distant dream. Young women were told to get married, have children and look after the household. I feel blessed to have a strong support system in the form of my parents, husband, and children. They always gave me the support and encouragement to do whatever I wished to do in life”, says Gayatri.

After quitting her job in the year 2007, Gayatri had planned to go for a hike. That’s when the Triund hike in Himachal Pradesh happened. It was a one-night hike and it changed Gayatri’s life forever. She is somebody who has always believed in a sense of community and building strong bonds with people which is very difficult to do in a tier-1 or a cosmopolitan city. Her first trek made her realize that there was a great scope for her to meet new people and build solid friendships in this space. She found the process so amazing that she decided to keep hiking.

“I did my basic mountaineering course at the age of 40 which is very rare. I did that a couple of months back after going on multiple treks as I wanted to study it further. I underwent a gruelling training session for 28 days from the Nehru Institute of Mountaineering. It made me much stronger. The most difficult trek for me was the Chadar trek in Ladakh where we had to trek in -40 degrees. I finished the Glacier trek with a broken twist. For seven days, I was in pain but I managed to complete the trek without any plaster or medical support. That was a turning point in my life as a mountaineer. As an NCC Cadet, I represented Odisha in the year 2002. I was in college then. Despite having injured my leg, I went ahead and participated in the Rajpath march on 26 January 2022. I have always found my strength in pain. Incidents like these have shaped up my life. For the Youth Exchange Program organized in 2003, I was selected by the NCC to represent India in Nepal.

Mountaineering has given Gayatri a purpose in life. With time, she believes she has become much stronger and is prepared to learn and do many more things in life. She asserts that mental strength is as important to become a mountaineer as physical strength is. She also believes that the process of learning never stops no matter how skilled or experienced you become.

“Last year, when I did an Everest Base Camp trek, I climbed two other peaks, Nagar Shankh, and Kala Patthar. These were very close to the Everest Base Camp. Everest Base Camp itself is a very difficult trek. I received a lot of encouragement from Lt. Colonel Romil Barthwal, who happens to be one of the founders of the expedition company Boots & Crampons. He told me that I should start climbing higher peaks. I came back from Everest Base camp and decided to do 7 summits across 7 different parts of the world. I recently climbed Mount Kosciuszko, Australia’s highest peak which is 2228 meters above sea level. My goal is to complete 7 summits.”

Apart from fulfilling her own dreams, Gayatri is now helping people realize their dreams and chase their passion in an organized manner. She has launched her own company where she and her partner encourage people to follow their dreams. Being a mountaineer has helped her have a clear mindset and a better outlook towards life. Through her endeavours, she wants people to understand the importance of following one’s dreams and never feel unsure walking down the roads that have not been explored earlier.

In the last couple of years, Gayatri seems to have got many of her dreams off her checklist. As a mountaineer, she has completed several difficult treks including ascending Africa’s highest peak Mount Kilimanjaro situated at 5895 meters above sea level. She has also climbed Mount Elbrus which is Europe’s highest peak at 5642 meters above sea level. There have been several incidents that shed light on the kind of passion she has for mountaineering. During one of her treks, Gayatri broke her wrist and suffered from a great amount of pain. Despite this, she completed the trek while taking all the necessary precautions.

Elaborating on this, she says, “When you participate in mountaineering, you should be ready to face some challenges that come your way. Throughout my life, I have believed in one important principle. Regardless of which situation you are in, you must give your best and never think about giving up. When I was a banker, I worked diligently and performed my duties to the best of my abilities. I have followed the same principle in my mountaineering career. This mindset has been one of the reasons behind doors opening up for me in different sectors and professions.”

Gayatri wears multiple hats and wears them all very well. Apart from being a renowned mountaineer, Gayatri is a professional fitness consultant and a certified Zumba trainer. She has been crowned at multiple beauty pageants including Mrs. India Global Universe and Mrs. Dazzling Diva. She was the runner-up at the Mrs. Karnataka pageant. She has excelled in everything she has done so far and that speaks volumes about the kind of dedication she has put into everything she has explored in her life. One of the reasons behind her doing so many things efficiently, she believes, is her healthy lifestyle.

“You will be able to achieve something in life only when you have a healthy body and a well-functioning mind. My love for fitness has helped me remain positive and in control of my mind through all the ups and down I have gone through in life. It also gave me the strength to achieve more than I had wished for. It also led me towards becoming a fitness consultant and imparting my knowledge of health and well-being to several individuals”, she says.

Gayatri has won numerous awards and received accolades from institutions of global repute for her mountaineering endeavours. When she is not busy climbing the mountains, she makes people aware of the importance of fitness in one’s life and how one should go about achieving a healthy lifestyle. While the world sees her as an over-achiever, Gayatri feels her journey has just begun.
