WearArt is a new clothing brand that brings the art of India and the world to the forefront through its unique and eye-catching designs. Based in Canada, WearArt aims to showcase the beauty and diversity of art from around the globe through its clothing and accessories.

The brand was founded by a group of two young entrepreneurs, Deepika and Jass Sarang, in January 2023, who was passionate about art and fashion. In their 20s, they saw an opportunity to combine the two and create something extraordinary and meaningful. With WearArt, they hope to not only make a fashion statement but also to celebrate the rich cultural heritage of India and the world.

Jass and Deepika are both from Punjab, India. In 2018, Jass traveled to Canada for further studies in the arts, while Deepika pursued a degree in agriculture. The two met in March 2021 and their shared love of art deepened their connection. It was then that they had the idea to create WearArt, a clothing company that would combine their love of art and fashion.

Talking with Deepika, we found that the initial idea for WearArt was to sell paintings on canvas, but the company’s founders wanted to do more than just sell art – they wanted to bring the art of India to a wider audience and make it more mainstream. To achieve this, they decided to go beyond just selling paintings and instead create a line of clothing that featured original artwork inspired by the art and culture of India.

WearArt’s collection features a range of garments and accessories inspired by the art and culture of India. From traditional Indian motifs and patterns to contemporary artworks by Indian artists, the collection is a tribute to the country’s vibrant and diverse art scene.

But WearArt is not just about Indian art. The brand also aims to showcase the art of other countries and cultures, and its future collections will feature designs inspired by the art and traditions of different parts of the world.
