In a recent hands-on experience with the ViewSonic M1 Pro projector, we discovered a few noteworthy aspects that contribute to its overall performance. While we encountered a slight delay in the start time due to the absence of a start button, the projector showcased commendable capabilities, such as auto-adjusting screen size and focus based on the projection. However, projecting on a wall without a dedicated screen can pose challenges.

During our trial, we observed that when we reflected the projector on a front wall, it took a few seconds to adjust to a full 100-inch display with proper focus and keystone correction. Although the dedicated focus rings aided in adjustment, the absence of a keystone adjustment ring caused some inconvenience, requiring users to wait for the projector to self-adjust.

On the connectivity front, both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connections were seamless. Screen mirroring via Wi-Fi proved effortless, allowing users to quickly view content from their phone’s YouTube app. Additionally, users could connect other devices and stream content using a USB cable. However, we found the device’s user interface to be somewhat cumbersome, with complicated navigation within internal apps and settings. Furthermore, the downloaded apps from the app store did not function properly.

Notably, the clarity and size of the screen exhibited an inverse relationship. At a 10-foot distance, the projected image appeared sharp and delivered the promised HD resolution. The remote control proved responsive from various distances within a certain range. Despite ViewSonic’s claim of a 100-foot screen projection size, our assessment suggests that the projected screen may exceed that estimation. To provide a visual reference, we have included an image to demonstrate the scale of the screen.

The LED light source of the M1 Pro projector ensured consistent brightness, while the company’s claim of a 300,000-hour lamp longevity offered reassurance for long-term usage. The projected screen’s reflective light feature also provided a pleasant viewing experience.

In addition to the aforementioned features, users have the option to download the ViewSonic vCast Sender app, which transforms their mobile devices into remote controls with touch capabilities. The projector’s built-in 3W stereo speaker setup produced clear and impactful sound, suitable for outdoor usage as well. Users could also connect the projector to their Bluetooth-enabled audio devices for a personalized viewing experience.

For power supply, the projector can be charged using the included power cord for indoor use. However, for outdoor applications, the M1 Pro comes equipped with a rechargeable battery unit, providing approximately two hours of playtime on a single charge. Users also have the option to charge the projector using a USB cable and a power bank, enhancing its portability.

Despite encountering minor setbacks such as the absence of a start button, complicated user interface, and malfunctioning downloaded apps, the ViewSonic M1 Pro projector impresses with its auto-adjusting capabilities, smooth connectivity options, and reliable performance. With its versatile features and convenient portability, it offers a promising projection solution for various scenarios. Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) received a significant boost as they achieved a resounding 112-run victory over the Rajasthan Royals in Jaipur on Sunday, according to Captain Faf du Plessis. The comprehensive win has greatly improved RCB’s net run rate, making it imperative for them to win their remaining two league phase games to stay in the race for the playoffs.

Expressing his satisfaction, du Plessis stated during the post-match presentation, “It was really good to win it this way. Indeed a big boost as we needed it, especially in terms of the net run rate.” He further expressed hope that this victory would set the stage for their final game against the Gujarat Titans at the Chinnaswamy Stadium on May 21. The captain believes that the team’s success on Sunday will instill extra motivation in the players for the upcoming matches.

Du Plessis acknowledged the challenging nature of the Jaipur pitch, where batting proved to be difficult. Even during the Powerplay, the ball was keeping low, leading the team to believe that a total of 160 would be competitive on such a surface. The late surge in runs, particularly by Anuj Rawat, propelled RCB to a formidable score. Du Plessis attributed credit to the team’s batting group for their performance, highlighting the momentum gained from the last over of RCB’s innings.

Wayne Parnell, du Plessis’ former South Africa teammate, made a notable contribution to the team as he came in as a replacement for Josh Hazlewood and was awarded the Man of the Match title for his impressive figures of 3/10. Parnell also commended RCB’s batting unit, emphasizing their execution of the game plan. All the batters shared the same strategy of taking the pace off the ball and aiming for the stumps.

The emphatic victory not only rejuvenated RCB’s prospects in the tournament but also boosted their confidence. With their net run rate significantly improved, the team is now determined to carry the momentum forward and secure their place in the playoffs.

The cricketing superstars kick off Win Millions Lotto’s star-studded cast of partners – with fans given the chance to win life-changing money

London, Mumbai: Two West Indian World Cup winners have partnered with Win Millions Lotto to give back to people in need across India after years of starring in the Indian Premier League.

Cricketing legends Dwayne Bravo and Andre Russell will be asking their legions of fans across the globe to play the world’s biggest lotteries on Win Millions Lotto through their social media – with the lion’s share of the profits going to help Indian charities.

Bravo, the top wicket-taker in IPL history, is now Chennai Super Kings’ bowling coach after over a decade of being one of the competition’s leading lights, including eight years in Chennai.

The Trinidadian legend, nicknamed ‘Sir Champion’, has chosen to help the Geo India Foundation through his partnership with Win Millions Lotto. Geo is a Chennai-based charity which brings education, food, housing, public health and a liveable environment to children, youth, women and families in need. Bravo’s funding will help them achieve their goals.

Stylish all-rounder Russell, known for being a fan favourite during his career across the international and domestic game, has played a starring role for Kolkata Knight Riders since joining the team in 2014 and joins Bravo in kicking off Win Millions Lotto’s mission to help Indian charities.

The man Knight Riders fans affectionately call ‘Dre Russ’ is batting for Rhapsody Music Foundation – a charity that helps children across South India, using music as a tool for their overall development and learning. Their philosophy of “Education Through Music” is based on scientific findings focused on the relationship between children having access to music and its effect on developing different parts of their brain.

With the pair winning both the 2012 and 2016 ICC World Twenty20 tournaments together, they have now teamed up again to kick off Win Millions Lotto’s cast of celebrity partners. Many other global stars across the worlds of sport, film and music are set to join them in generating much-needed funds for their own favourite charities.

Online lotteries are hugely popular across India. Now, fans can contribute to their favourite player’s charity by accessing Win Millions Lotto through the social media channels of either Bravo (bit.ly/djbravo47) or Russell (bit.ly/DreRuss12). By purchasing lottery tickets, fans have the chance to win life-changing sums of money while supporting worthy causes.

Commenting on his new partnership with Win Millions Lotto, Bravo said: “I’m delighted to be working with Win Millions Lotto to help a charity that is incredibly close to my heart. People who know me back home know I’m passionate about helping the underprivileged and would love my fans to play Win Millions Lotto through my Instagram page to ensure we can help the Geo India Foundation. I’m also incredibly happy that Andre is joining the project – he’s a great friend of mine and it’s a delight to reunite with a fellow West Indian legend!”

Russell added: “I always enjoyed sharing a dressing room alongside Dwayne and I’m proud to be reuniting with him. Music is one of my life-long passions and I fully believe in its power to help children across India, so I’m asking all cricket fans to help Rhapsody carry out this vital work by playing Win Millions Lotto through the link on my Instagram.”

Win Millions Lotto CEO, Sulim Malook, said: “We are delighted to have Dwayne and Andre as our first two partners for Win Millions Lotto. Charities need funding now more than ever and many stars from around the worlds of sport, music and film are stepping up to do their bit.

The Insolvency and Bankruptcy Board of India (IBBI) has recently announced its intention to seek public comments on its existing rules with the aim of plugging any loopholes in the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, 2016. The IBBI believes that crowdsourcing ideas from stakeholders is necessary to create a more conducive regulatory framework in a dynamic environment. The move comes as the rules will soon be severely tested in the case of Wadia-owned Go First, which recently filed for voluntary insolvency.

The IBBI statement highlights that despite the best of efforts and intentions, a regulator in a novel and emerging regulatory regime may not always be able to address ground realities. This is why the IBBI welcomes public comments on the regulations already notified under the code. By seeking input from stakeholders, the regulator hopes to identify any issues that hinder transactions and offer alternate solutions to address them.

Comments from the public have been sought until May 31 on the regulations notified under the IBC to date, and they will be received until December 31. Following this, the regulations will be modified to the extent considered necessary. The IBBI aims to notify modified regulations by March 31, 2024, and bring them into force on April 1, 2024.

The efficacy of the IBC was called into question in August 2017 when the country’s first corporate resolution plan under the code resulted in a 94% haircut to lenders. This was because Synergies-Dooray Automotive promoters retained the firm by paying just Rs 54 crore to the creditors against dues of over Rs 900 crore. The move prompted the government to arm the IBC with Section 29A, making it difficult for promoters of bankrupt companies to regain control of their firms by inflicting injuries to creditors.

In conclusion, the IBBI’s move to seek public comments on its existing rules and regulations is a welcome development. By crowdsourcing ideas, the regulator hopes to create a more conducive regulatory framework that will enable it to address ground realities in a dynamic environment. The move is necessary as the rules will soon be severely tested in the case of Wadia-owned Go First, which recently filed for voluntary insolvency. The IBBI aims to notify modified regulations by March 31, 2024, and bring them into force on April 1, 2024.
